Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The employee has direct responsibility for the safety and well-being of others.
Assist driver in the operation of lifts for wheelchairs and assist disabled students.
Maintains good student conduct on the bus.
Transfers and secures special equipment that may accompany the student.
Is alert to any conditions in the loading and unloading area which present a danger to students.
Communicate in an appropriate and effective fashion with students, parents, and employees.
Operates special equipment that may be needed to ensure the well-being of students.
Assist as required by the student’s Individualized Education Plan’s (IEP’s).
Assist driver with seating chart of assigned student riders Reports passenger misconduct to driver for the purpose of documentary activities.
Place & Secure students who require special safety apparatus.
Assists bus driver in the cleaning of bodily fluids Must attend required professional development, as needed Other duties may be assigned.
