Position Title: Child Care Associate Reports To: Child Care Director Approved By: Rob Ridgeway, Superintendent Date: September 22, 2017 Summary: Assists site supervisor in providing care, education, supervision, and guidance of children at all times.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include, but are not limited to: Greet, welcome, and communicate with all parents and students in the program on a continual basis.
Continuous interaction with students.
Work with other child care staff to implement daily planned activities Notify Site Supervisor or Assistant Director of Child Care of problematic issues that arise.
Complete annual PD requirements at mandated by Child Care licensing.
Must be CPR and First Aide licensed.
Or be willing to become licensed.
Other duties associated with child care as assigned by the Site Supervisor, Assistant Director of Child Care or Director of Child Care.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervises students within parameters given.
Qualification Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Other Skills and Abilities: Ability to work with children with physical, emotional, and/or cognitive challenges.
The ability to positively interact with public, staff, and students.
The ability to tell where sound is coming from is essential in this job.
The ability to meet multiple demands from several people.
Ability to develop effective working relationships with student, staff, and the school community.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies.
Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
