Process Management
Develop and maintain processes for monitoring performance consistently with KPIs and our Key Expectations
Approve and initiate changes within the Product Improvement Request process
Identify and implement best practices through industry awareness, networking, technical periodicals and plant visits
Maintain and network with internal / external partners to drive improvements
Provide financial and design justification for all requested capital projects identify specific short term goals and provide action items to impact improvements within our supply chain initiatives
Assist in development of Standard Operating Procedures for HACCP, SQF, and other requirements including our Quality Control Programs Facilitate audit readiness and ensure action items are completed on time
Identify the critical technical requirements to supervise the area and ensure the requirements are documented
Review staffing needs and work with HR to evaluate expected business changes Lead cross-functional problem solving efforts for complex issues
Team Building
Reinforce Key Expectations through checklist audits
Ensure disciplinary processes are consistent
Coach and develop supervisors through internal development tools
Communication of corporate initiatives
Identify and document skills matrix (personal development plans)for Supervisor and ensure actions to address gaps are completed
Facilitate training and coach to processes for consistent application Ensure processes for recognition to all Team Members are consistent
Ensure Supervisor is developing bench strength (identifying potential future leaders) for succession planning
Develop and manage succession plan for assigned area Lead investigations for non-progressive discipline due to a violation to our key expectations
Lead weekly staff meetings with focus on deviations to performance targets
Coordinate resources to ensure Supervisor is coached in all technical aspects of the process
Perform duties in the hiring process as a "hiring manager" to include Onboarding of new exempt Team Members Network for future supervisor candidates
Lead non-exempt safety team
Proactively support and manage change through internal change management process
Performance Management
Review departmental action plans with Supervisor to improve performance
Drive improved results in all audits using Continuous Improvement tools
Review and hold supervisors accountable to action items to improve variances/ production numbers
Facilitate and support root cause analysis with management team
Ensure training and implementation of all regulatory/ compliance objectives are met
Lead team in analysis of performance
Establish targets for key performance indicators and functional spending Interact with customers on issue resolution and growth opportunities
Perform audits to monitor Supervisor and department performance
Team CFG
Perform Key Expectation Audits for other areas
Work with all support areas to identify opportunities
Support Research and Development projects as a resource
Participate in company initiative team(s)
Present relevant production information across all levels of organization when necessary
Attend participate and or lead in leadership development opportunities
Support sales through being a technical expert on calls Lead plant tours for strategic partners
Participate in organizational meetings (i.
e.
, sanitation, USDA, Safety, Staff, Order Fill, CI, etc.
)
Qualifications
Excellent written/verbal communication/presentation skills.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to function at a high level within a team environment.
Ability to work independently and with individuals from multiple disciplines and with varying levels of experience.
Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment where change and growth are part of the culture.
Strong MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills (proficiency in MS Access a plus).
Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail.
