JOB DESCRIPTION: Warranty Return Specialist
Position Summary : This position is responsible for performing root cause analysis on market return parts.
Associate will review and summarize findings for submission to customer warranty databases.
Associate will conduct daily verification to confirm warranty parts status and on time submission as well as additional clerical duties that may be assigned by quality department manager.
Responsibilities:
Must be familiar with all types of products such as nozzles, hose assemblies, washer systems and servo motors.
Responsible for basic troubleshooting/root cause analysis via market return disassembly.
Provides information and communicates any concerns via tie-in reports with the product specific QE.
Checks, on daily warranty returns from all customers
Establish contacts with in Denso and customer organization to assure clear communication
Continuously looks for opportunities for process improvements/kaizens.
Supports other members of the department as necessary and works to improve 5S conditions.
Conducts daily dimensional and functional inspections and destructive testing of products per the inspection standard.
Must compare results to inspection standard and drawing to determine conformance of products.
Documents the findings and notifies quality and Production Supervisor of any non-conformances.
Must be able to read blue print drawings and may be required to assist production in understanding drawings.
May be required to assist in receiving inspection or lab activity, as needed.
Performs 100% inspection of all new or high-risk products.
Verifies production buy-off part, per inspection standard.
Must be able to determine if product meets quality standards based upon inspection standards, drawings and master samples and explain decisions to Production leadership.
Responsible for understanding basic SPC charts.
May be required to perform additional duties as assigned.
Checks, on daily warranty returns from all customers
Creates log of warranty return parts for monitoring of any spike in returned parts.
Quality /Environmental Roles and Responsibilities:
Follows all procedures and work instructions and makes recommendations to improve the process.
Records all non-conformances and notifies Leader immediately upon detecting any non-conformances.
Records all non-conformances to ensure corrective action and preventative measures are taken and assists in the problem solving process.
Communicates and practices Denso Quality and Environmental Management Systems.
Takes an active role in achieving and maintaining IATF-16949/ISO 9001:2015 and ISO-14001.
Knowledge, Skills and Education Required :
High School diploma or equivalent.
Previous quality control experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
Some vocational training or equivalent experience using measurement equipment and gauges such as scales, calipers, multimeter, measuring microscope, graduated cylinders, height and pin gauges.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively with others.
Basic knowledge of SPC and manufacturing processes.
Must be familiar with Microsoft applications to include Word and Excel.
