Welder

WELDER JOB DESCRIPTION *SUMMARY* Responsible for fitting and welding of steel process.
Also required to perform other miscellaneous tasks, as assigned by his/her supervisor.
*PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES* * Set up welding machines based on the job at hand.
* Read and interpret drawing components.
* Complete all required QC related paperwork.
* MIG weld components based on specifications of drawings.
* Ensure work is done safely and meets quality standards.
* Follow, create and help maintain welding specifications.
* Set up welding cells for production runs.
* Operate welders, hand plasmas, torch and grinders used in the production process.
* Follow weld line process per supervisor.
* Keep work areas clean and organized and take proper care of all equipment and facilities.
* Follow all company and or shop rules and policies.
* Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task.
* Follow all safety rules and quality standards.
* Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency.
* Prepare product for next stage of production.
* Uphold all ISO and OSHA standards applicable to the responsibilities above.
*KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS* * Experience with Steel and/or stainless steel.
* Experience with MIG welding highly preferred.
* Ability to lift heavy items up to 40 pounds.
* Basic knowledge of fabricating, reading tapes and print reading.
* Basic troubleshooting.
* Knowledge of changing out gas and weld wire.
* Ability to perform basic math.
* Must be reliable with a strong work ethic.
* Ability to stand for long periods of time.
* Willing to work 40+ hours a week.
* Anything deemed necessary by Management Team Leader and Co-Team Leader.
Job Type: Full-time Pay: $21.
