*Positions Supervised: *PM Associate, EQS Associates
*POSITION SUMMARY*
Repair and maintenance of all mobile material handling equipment including, but not limited to forklifts, motorized pellet jacks, boom lifts, scissor lifts, go buggies, oil cart, floor scrubbers, and sweepers.
Perform engineering duties in planning maintenance to have functioning equipment.
Oversee installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of such equipment.
*ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS*
* Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.
* Complete assigned PMs and work orders and fill out PM paperwork.
* Be on call to support equipment breakdowns to accommodate production requirements.
* Able to communicate with other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information.
* Participate in continuous improvement activities including circle teams and suggestions.
* Research, design, evaluate, install, operate, and maintain mechanical products, equipment, systems and processes to meet requirements, applying knowledge of engineering principles.
* Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation, be able to troubleshoot electrically and mechanically and to make recommendations to maintenance crew.
* Provide feedback to design engineers on customer problems and needs.
* Estimate costs and submit bids for engineering and prepare contract documents.
* Perform personnel functions such as supervision of production workers, technicians and technologists or design of evaluation programs.
* Establish and coordinate the maintenance and safety procedures, service schedule, and supply of materials required to maintain machines and equipment in the prescribed condition.
* Supervise and Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that material handling equipment continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, and the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate.
* Other duties include data entry of logging truck hours, equipment repairs, parts cost and savings, and ordering necessary parts for equipment repair.

While performing the duties of this job, the Associate is regularly exposed to high and cold temperatures.
The Associate occasionally will be exposed to vibration.
The Associate regularly works near moving mechanical parts with repetitive motions.
