A & P Team Leader Technician
The Team Leader for the A & P position will be a hands-on position and actively work with the technicians to show them the way and teach techniques and proper quality measures and new standards while always following best practices and the quality manuals.
The TL will set the example by using Gemba?s, S6, Q6, all lean Six Sigma techniques.
WACO focuses on small aircraft repair through a part 145 Repair station and are 100% rate for everything.

Scope: As an A & P Team Leader Technician you will work with limited supervision, assists with testing, adjusting and repairing, and other general tasks related to the maintenance and repair of an airframe systems and components on a variety of airframes in a safe and clean work environment according to manufacturer's specifications, as required by regulations.
In addition, this position prepares and completes appropriate documentation in a timely manner.
What you will do Must be capable and have the experience level to perform effective troubleshooting of the most complicated aircraft squawks with limited supervision Performs inspections, servicing, and repairs of the most complicated nature on various aircraft systems and components on a variety of aircraft in a timely, clean, safe and professional manner with no rework and with a superior level of quality, craftsmanship, and efficiency.
Repair, replace, trouble-shoot and diagnose.
Expertly prepare and complete various documents for maintenance/ modification record-keeping purposes, as required by FAA Airworthiness Regulations, company Policies, and Processes, FAA Approved Repair Station and Quality Control Manuals, including project turnovers, and personal training logs (OJT).
Capable of making sound technical decisions as a technician and/or when functioning as Production Inspector.
Efficiently and effectively troubleshoot and function test referencing manufacturer's technical documents across a variety of airframe, engine and component systems.
Demonstrate proficient use of the company's Work Order system by completing accurate and timely listing of discrepancies and completing accurate corrective action statements including completion of Service Bulletin and Airworthiness Directives (AD) compliance statements (ref.
FAR §91.
417).
Willingly and effectively share knowledge and learned trusted techniques with lesser experienced technicians through the OJT program to foster their development, ensure accurate work, and support the department goals.
Preventative maintenance, line maintenance, scheduled inspections, and accompanying maintenance up to and including ?A-Checks? and large component replacements in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulation and company policies and procedures Install, inspect, test, replace, dismantle, alter fabricate, repair, and reassemble aircraft components and engines.
A variety of tools and equipment are used, including precision measuring devices, pneumatic devices, electrical testing devices, general shop equipment, ground support equipment, and computers Follow aircraft maintenance instructions and perform all needed service to requirements.
Perform all manner of maintenance on multiple types of Certificated Aircraft in accordance with company policy, manufacturer?s manuals and Federal Aviation Regulations.
Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair airframe and powerplant components and systems Document work completed per company procedures and Federal Aviation Regulations Perform minor maintenance on ground support equipment as needed Maintain the highest level of quality and integrity Supervisory Responsibilities: As a manager/ supervisory, the primary responsibility will be to oversee the workflow at our facility within your department.
The role is a complex one.
This will not only be someone who supervises the work of others.
A supervisor is also responsible for coaching, developing, resolving issues and serving as a link between team members and upper Leadership.
This position will be responsible accountable for the work of their team members and properly training those team members to the standards set forth.
Set goals for performance and deadlines in ways that comply with company?s plans and vision and clearly communicate them to the team through daily and weekly Gemba?s Develop a strategy that the team members can use to better reach project goals.
Organize workflow and ensure that employees understand their duties or delegated tasks.
Assign and reassign work as necessary throughout the day.
Motivate, encourage and find ways to help improve performance and help the team stay on task.
Monitor team member productivity and provide constructive feedback and coaching Receive complaints and resolve problems Maintain accurate and timely timecards Pass on information from upper Leadership to employees and vice versa Prepare and submit performance reports Decide on and influence reward and promotion based on performance Interview, hire, and train new employees within department Work as a key member of the Leadership team.
