The Senior Network Engineer will be accountable for the design, deployment and support of our IT Infrastructure.
The Senior Network Engineer is responsible for resolving hardware, software, licensing and network technical support requests.

Responsibilities include but not limited to: Network Design and Planning: * Design, implement, and maintain network architecture for both manufacturing and retail environments.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into network design specifications.
* Develop and document network design standards, guidelines, and best practices.
Infrastructure Deployment: * Lead the deployment of network infrastructure, ensuring timely and successful implementation of projects.
* Configure and install network equipment, including routers, switches, firewalls, and other hardware.
* Collaborate with vendors to evaluate and integrate new technologies into the existing network environment.
Network Security: * Implement and maintain security measures to protect the network infrastructure from unauthorized access, attacks, and vulnerabilities.
* Monitor and analyze security alerts, incidents, and participate in incident response activities.
* Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify and address potential risks.
Network Support and Troubleshooting: * Provide escalated technical support for complex network issues and outages.
* Conduct root cause analysis of network problems and implement corrective actions.
* Collaborate with helpdesk and support teams to resolve network-related user issues.
Performance Monitoring and Optimization: * Monitor network performance, troubleshoot bottlenecks, and optimize network configurations for maximum efficiency.
* Implement and manage network performance monitoring tools to proactively identify and address potential issues.
Documentation: * Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of network architecture, configurations, and procedures.
* Develop and update network diagrams, topology maps, and inventory records.
Collaboration and Training: * Collaborate with IT teams, system administrators, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of network services.
* Provide training and mentorship to junior network engineers and team members.
* Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
*The Experience You Bring and the Skills we Need:* • 7+ years of technical support as it relates to Networking and Infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of Ubiquiti infrastructure and network performance tuning.
Support retail server rack with a firewall, switches and internet redundancy.
• Strong working knowledge of routing and switching protocols, network security, WAN technologies, wireless technologies, network management and monitoring, network virtualization, cloud technologies, load balancing, and collaboration technologies.
• Strong understanding Microsoft Defender and general security experience.
• 5-7 years supporting the Microsoft suite of products.
• 3-5 years of proven experience in a customer focused position.
• Cannabis software experience is a plus.
• Familiar with SCCM, basic scripting knowledge such as PowerShell.
• Windows Server experience is beneficial.
• Time-management skills and the ability to establish reasonable and attainable deadlines to resolutions.
• Ability to prioritize and manage tasks and projects effectively.
• Professional written and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Comfortable working in and assisting others through helpdesk software and remote access desktop software.
• This is a dynamic team, and as such daily tasks may vary, resulting in a fast-paced and lively work environment.
