Job Summary Assists the functional departments and specific business divisions during the planning and implementation stages of Six Sigma projects.
Works with various levels of the organization to process improvement projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Facilitate cross-functional expert teams to drive breakthrough or Best-in-Class performance in People, Quality, Material Flow, and Cost.
Identifies key individuals for team membership and secures their approval to become team members.
Provides basic Six Sigma training to project team members.
Applies Six Sigma tools and techniques to measure, analyze, improve and control project processes.
Reports on project progress to Champion and other appropriate leadership levels Prepares detailed plans to track project performance and assure timely completion and achievement of quality and savings goals.
Identifies barriers to project success and solicits help from champions when needed.
Attends required training and acquires needed skills.
Documents improvement process learning and shares best practices with other Black Belts.
Identifies and brings forward to Champion new project opportunities.
Set strategy for the six sigma project implementation Applies Six Sigma, Lean and KT tools and techniques to measure, analyze, improve and control project processes.
Converts gaps in BBP and other metrics into process improvement projects that deliver breakthrough results Prepares a detailed project plan for each project including a project timeline and the deliverables at each phase of the project.
Prepares detailed plans to track project performance and assure timely completion and achievement of quality and savings goals.
Identifies barriers to project success and solicits help from process owners when needed.
Value Stream Analysis (Current and Future State Value Stream Mapping) Collaborate with C.
I.
Manager to assess the Current state of the plant’s Operations; Develop Future State vision and implementation plan.
Support other C.
I.
initiatives, including best practice implementation, strategic initiatives that will help in compliance to standards, implementing new systems, and designing creative solutions that will continuously improve the plant.
Work with all levels of leadership Complete projects in a timely manner Train other team members on how to use six sigma tools Perform other duties required Complete all required and applicable training required by Adient and its customers Education / Experience / Skills Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience 3-5 years leading six sigma projects Proficiency with statistical and process management software, flow charting software Fluent in Excel Accountabilities This position reports directly to the Continuous Improvement Manager Qualifications Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment in a Supervisory role.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Must be able to meet the requirements of being able to work in the United States (INS Form I-9).
