Position Summary
Under the general direction of the Director of District Transformation this position is responsible for designing, developing and implementing all phases of before and after school programming and the summer school.
Position Responsibilities
Supervise the day to day operations of Before and After School Programming.
Design and implement an educationally effective summer school program that propels student achievement in the fall.
Write grants and identify funding sources.
Assure adherence to all existing grant requirements.
Work with 3 rd party vendors to staff personnel for all programs.
ManageSite Coordinators to ensure smooth day to day operations of the program.
Schedule and supervise staff.
Determine staff development needs and implement training programs to meet those needs.
Manage all aspects of the budget to ensure fiscally appropriate results.
Ensure meals and snacks provided by meeting USDA nutritional guidelines.
Analyze class grades, intervention achievement data, surveys and other data to improve program design and execution.
Observe, evaluate and implement solutions to improve program performance.
Manage all phases of the day care licensing process.
Procure funding as appropriate through the Department of Human Services.
Develop, nurture and sustain community networks, connections and partnerships.
Lead all phases of brand marketing for the programs including writing newsletters.
Communicate with parents/guardians.
Collaborate with Principals and other District Team Members on solutions that improve the program’s impact on student achievement.
Qualifications
BA in a “child related field” (e.
g.
, Early Childhood, Elementary or Secondary Education, Social Work, Human Services, Guidance/Counseling).
Master's Degree preferred.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
Demonstrated knowledge of program design, development, and implementation.
Demonstrated ability to bring out creative ideas to enhance program offerings.
Demonstrated ability to develop and manage a budget while ensuring fiduciary responsible and sound resource management.
Demonstrated knowledge of grant writing.
Demonstrated ability to establish clear goals and direction for the staff in a well planned and organized manner
Demonstrated ability to marshal resources (people, funding, community, material) to get things done
Demonstrated ability to plan and organize work by orchestrating multiple activities at once to accomplish goals.
Demonstrated ability to develop schedules, tasks and people assignments and ensuring that those schedules and tasks are completed in a timely manner.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both in writing and orally to a wide range of audiences including parents/guardians.
Salary: $76,079-$79,168
Contract: 261 Work Days
