* a strong desire to impact the lives of children and youth, especially those at the secondary level, and working to ensure that they thrive as an athlete, student and community member
* ability to demonstrate leadership during difficult situations
* ability to communicate positively and honestly with student-athletes, families, and the community at large
* the ability to assemble and guide a cohesive coaching staff OR ensure a new coaching staff thrives in a new community

* build and elevate an understanding of how academics and athletics work together to produce well-rounded student-athletes capable of excelling both on and off the field
*Other experiences we are interested in but are not required, as the ideal candidate is coachable:*
* know and follow MHSAA rules and regulations; meet all certification standards of MHSAA, including AED, CPR, First-Aid, CAP training
* experience with establishing a budget and strategic fundraising, a commitment to allocating funds to impact student-athletes directly

Pay: $46,000.
