*Role Overview:*
As a Financial Accounting Analyst based in our Battle Creek Mill, you'll play a crucial role in the Finance Team supporting Client’s Coated Recycle Board (CRB) mills.
Your responsibilities will span analytical and administrative support for Finance and mill operations, working closely with the Finance Manager to bolster the mill's financial operations.
This includes analytics, forecasting, budgeting, month-end closing reporting, as well as engagement in productivity and cost improvement projects.
Effective communication skills, independence, and initiative are key for success in this role.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Engage in detailed reporting and analysis, working with finance and operations to enhance reporting and project outcomes.
* Provide analytical support to identify and optimize key performance drivers.
* Analyze mill results, highlighting variances to budgets and forecasts.
* Assist in developing financial reports for mill operations insight.
* Contribute to building standard costing models for inventory.
* Support month-end close processes and reconcile accounts payable.
* Attend mill meetings to share financial insights and advise on projects.
* Manage daily customer invoicing posting and distribution.
* Participate in physical inventories for audits and mill productivity projects.
*Qualifications:*
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Management, or Finance preferred.
* 2-5 years of relevant experience
* Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
* Strong communication skills for interaction across management levels.
* Experience with SAP, JD Edwards, Hyperion is advantageous.
* Proficiency in Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office products is essential.
