Position: Assistant Plant Controller
Motus Integrated Technologies, a rapidly growing $600 million automotive manufacturer, is seeking an experienced Assistant Plant Controller for our Battlecreek, MI facility.
This role reports to the Plant Controller and plays a pivotal part in daily and monthly accounting tasks.
Responsibilities:
The Assistant Plant Controller will support month-end and weekly close tasks, annual audit requirements, and report monthly results to Corporate.
This role involves experience with SOX or similar compliance systems, AR and AP tracking, bank reconciliations, subledger reconciliation vs.
GL, and preparation of monthly reports for corporate and management.
Additionally, responsibilities include balance sheet reconciliations, global intercompany accounting, assistance in special projects, and fixed assets reconciliation.

Minimum Skills/Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
3-5 years of relevant experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
Experience with PLEX, SAP, Oracle, or any ERP system
Ability to work independently or as part of a team and meet deadlines
Strong problem-solving skills
Highly flexible with the ability to take on new, challenging tasks with limited guidance
